Words alone are beautiful, Together they are astounding ♥ No need for introductions...Please read and hope you enjoy.
*Dying Request*
Snow capped view
Silent valleys frost
Winged and feathered
A creature so lost
Nesting alone
Amongst ominous thought
Lonely laying low
Forever - forgot.

* Is mé *
A short poem in my native language, An Ghaeilge...This poem illustrates an innocent relationship people have encountered during the Summer in the Gaeltacht or Irish College....I wanted to show my love for Irish and did this through peronsonification...My Gaeltacht fling was not only with another being but with the Irish language herself. To those who can understand it....Bainigi sult as!! ♥
's mé
Ar ais chuig ár radharc féin a téimid
Tríd an bpáirc-
nár phléigh muid
Ar ais i measc am na fluirse a shíl mé
Thar an mballa-
Leath ina dhiaidh a Sé
Ár n-am i gcéin dar liom fhéin
An Ghaeltacht
Le linn an tsamhraidh.
's mé
Ar ais chuig ár radharc féin a téimid
Tríd an bpáirc-
nár phléigh muid
Ar ais i measc am na fluirse a shíl mé
Thar an mballa-
Leath ina dhiaidh a Sé
Ár n-am i gcéin dar liom fhéin
An Ghaeltacht
Le linn an tsamhraidh.

...An Fonn Bán...
My first poem in around 6 months, not much to say about it to be honest...very straight forward unless you want to find the real message :P. I would like to dedicate this to My bestest Friend, Lauren Byrne ♥ Go raibh mle maith agat!!
*An Fonn Bán*
“The great thing about getting older is that you don't lose all the other ages you've been” - Madeleine L'Engle
Changing times have led me to believe
Growing older ‘s not exactly what it seems,
That element of fear -
Or desire to remain
Younger than old,
Age played like a game.
Ideas emerge.
Melancholic minds appear.
The young dream of maturity
Its wisdom they hold dear.
As the elderly desire in contrast
To wash away their years
Then they do realise,
“Sure Tír na nÓg could never last”
A cycle of unhappiness-
In which you must deal
Inner ambitions of becoming an Elder?
Or regrets of not living that you feel?
An obsession with age
Will constantly linger
Maybe an annoyance, disease or stage.
But if you care to live,
And you have that desire
Live like you’re Young and never tire.

...Natures Secret...
My personal favourite poem that I have written up until now and one of my first. I believe these lyrics have so many meanings in my life, the piece of writing i hold closest and to try explain or simplify them would not do them any justice, as every poem has a different effect on each and every one of us I will let you take from this what you will. Happy Reading ♥
*Natures Secret*
Listen, like from the mind of a child,
Whilst snow, rain and wind
Prance in the wild,
Don’t be always led to your knees
Stand up and make them believe.
Look, A sign from the skies
Flies raw in design
Letting you know
Troubles arise,
Like gods own tears it falls from high
To earth and your unwelcoming sigh.
